And with that, I must bid farewell but thank you for your company and a fine game to end a fantastic set of autumn internationals. Adios.

To recap, a fine Welsh first-half performance was
rewarded with two excellent tries with the Springboks caught cold out
wide. But the second-half looked to swinging back in the visitor’s
favour only for Dan Biggar’s boot to kick the Welsh out of sight. That’s
four in a row against South Africa and, as I said earlier, Warren
Gatland’s side are the real deal. It should be one hell of a Six
Nations, with Wales hosting England and Ireland at the Principality
Stadium, and then we can start talking about the World Cup.
Alun Wyn Jones said: “The effort we put into it is the habit. We’re
very pleased with all the Ws but there’s still work to do. If we’re
honest there’s a bit of depth developing and credit to the guys in the
squad who have supported the guys throughout the Tests.
“It was just another game for himself. There are still a few guys
that are injured nd the depth in the back row is scary. Ellis stepped
into the breach, stepped up to the plate and a deserved man of the
match.
South Africa, by contrast, are still a work in progress and despite
all their attacking weapons couldn’t fashion enough line breaks through
that resolute Welsh defence (17 points conceded against Australia and
the Springboks takes some doing). It took some mastery from Willie Le
Roux to create Jesse Kriel’s try but *a bit* like the England game they
just couldn’t convert possession into points and maybe the
decision-making isn’t quite there. Yet.
Siya Kolisi said: “We were playing a lot of rugby in our half which
is what they wanted. Every time we got into their half we seemed to give
away penalties. We’re not even close to where we can be as a team but
there are a lot of positives for us to take out of this years as a
team.”
